I am a veteran and have very strong patriotic feelings for my country. So it just seemed to follow to make some of my string pieces in the colors of our flag. The first piece I completed was an eagle. The rest just seemed to follow naturally.
This is the first "flag" eagle. I later altered the image and did it with the wings and head natural colored and just the chest with red, white and blue. To see a pic of that one, click on "String Artwork" the in column to the right. $1750.00
After the first one I had to try another. $2,000.00.
After the eagles were done I was looking at a steer skull I had done and thought "a flag inspired buffalo skull might be interesting." What do you think? $2250.00
Then along came this wolf. I later did two wolves one in grays and one in browns.
I wanted to do a polar bear but thought this was more colorful than a plain white bear. I'm still deciding whether to add stars on the wolf and bear. In the works is a full buffalo figure with a flag motif. $1500.00
There's a saying "two heads are better than one". My wife says she likes both of these "heads". $850.00
One of many flag colored feather pieces I've done. I do them with 1, 2, or 3 feathers.
