This is my "pride and joy." This piece took 4 months to complete. For years I wanted to do an eagle but could not find the right design to do it justice. Guess what, I finally got it done. $3,000.00
My original Indian warrior. I've since redone this piece smaller and with more colorful feathers.
Here's the warrior redone. $850.00
These are two more of my earlier pieces.

Here is a closeup of the feathers on the eagle pictured at the left. Notice how the brown colors seem to change depending on how the light hits them.
How I do them
My string art designs start with making a pattern of the image. Then I find the right board and cut an outlined edge. The pattern is traced on the wood, and is then outlined with nails, and sections are burned into the wood. I use 1/2" to 1" brads to create different depths in the picture. Next I "string" . I use sewing thread for this. In the last few years I learned that using two or three different colored layers of thread also gives more dimension to my pieces.
Click on "String Art Closeups " in the column on the right where there are more close up pics so hopefully you see what I mean.
Please let me know what you think of my pieces. If you click on the link below you can send me an email. I would really appreciate your comments.
